G290 Basic Public Information Officer Williston

Emergency Public Information officers are responsible for ensuring that the affected public receives accurate and timely information during an emergency.  Armed with good information, people are better able to make good decisions and, by doing so, contribute to the overall response goal of saving lives and protecting property.

This course is designed to prepare participants to function as full- or part-time PIOs.  Additionally, this training is a prerequisite and foundation for more advanced public information officer training.

G205 Recovery From Disaster: The Local Community Role

This course provides an introduction to disaster recovery principles and includes current recovery practices and policies.  Case studies and activities are included in the course to support participant learning.  Access to and use of a variety of resources for recovery planning are taught in the course, including a FEMA online Community Recovery Management Toolkit (CRMT) and a Resource Library associated with the Recovery

ICS 300/400

ICS 300 provides training for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS) and expands upon information covered in the ICS 100 and ICS 200 courses.  ICS 300 will be held November 5-7, 2019 at the Public Safety Building in Fargo.
