911/PSAP Cyber Options Workshop

The Cybersecurity Workshop provides a solid overview of the potential threats PSAPs face. We provide a review of cyber-attacks on Public Safety to date, the methods these occurred, and the potential impact to PSAP operations. DHS will also explain the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, the FCC Task Force adoption (based on NIST), and how these specifically can assist in understanding the various components of cybersecurity and methods to creating and implementing a formal plan.
Recommended audience includes State-wide Interoperability Coordinators, 911 Operators, Public Safety Answering Point Personnel and State Officials.
This class will be held at the Quality Inn, 1030 E Interstate Ave., Bismarck, ND. Class begins at 8:00 a.m. and runs until 5:00 p.m. each day.
A block of rooms has been reserved for the nights of Feb 10-11, 2020 at the Quality Inn, 1030 E Interstate Ave. Call 701-223-1911 and ask for the "DES Cyber Options" block. Reservations for this block must be made by January 27, 2020. NDDES will reimburse appropriate candidates who live or work in ND and travel > 50 miles for hotel at state rate and meal per diem. We do not cover mileage.
